Fairy Sighting

Fairy Sighting was a live performance where human forms melded in and out of the seaside landscape at the Eastern Promenade in Portland, ME. It was presented by TempoART, an organization that champions and commissions public art, as part of Gathering Resilience, a series curated by Tessa O’Brien.

Dancers used wall mirrors and mylar blankets to disappear into and emerge out of the landscape over a 45-minute performance. The piece culminated in a cliffside shadow dance overlooking the audience. You could hear the laughter of the performers as they played and experimented.
